Embroider tHAT Ninja!

On it.

So hats and wristbands are in! They came out really well; thank you Candroy Embroidery. We’ll be putting them up next week along with the flannel! Oh ya get excited Ninjas. REALLY nice prices considering what a lot of other brands charge for the same thing. We’ll make sure to keep them attainable for our Ninjas.

Went out the other day to downtown SD to get some work done. Tax time is here, yay. Hope you all are having fun with your personal taxes, it gets 100 times more confusing when you have to do it for a business too. Either way I’ve made a lot of costly errors along this journey so if any of you have some questions on what NOT to do give me an email: tbass@ninjaneishon.com

Afterward I had some time to check out a store I’ve been meaning to visit for some time now: Kleen. Super chill atmosphere in the store with everything from art supplies to clothing. The signature ceramic belt buckles that you may have seen at bboy jams around SD are also in there. We’ll be doing a more in depth post about Kleen soon.

Jason put up another couple video logs including one where he went to an Izakaya. An izakaya is basically a more intimate bar experience where you can order delicious food throughout the night. Makes me want to go back to Tokyo and hit up my favorite izakayas. I’ll post this video log and you can go find the rest on his Youtube.

Keep it easy Ninjas,

Dengggg boiiii

First off if you haven’t already seen it, go look at our design contest and go join the event on Facebook.

On another important note The Neishon has some Ninjas participating in the annual Sun God Battle of the Bands. If you are a UCSD student and want to see some Ninjas on stage go here http://sungodfestival.ucsd.edu/botb/vote login and check out the “Rude Hitchhikers”.

One of The Neishon’s Ninjas that is in Japan right now has a Vlog that is pretty subtly funny. If you’re into that, which you should be, (was that subtle?) take a meander at this video:

If you like it go subscribe Ninja!

I have faith in your Ninja abilities.

I received an email the other day from Ryan Tong. He had just gotten back from Cambodia where he was working with Tiny Toones Cambodia. For those of you who are just joining in on The Neishon and might not have read any of our posts about the Tiny Toones organization check out their website or click on Ninja Neishon’s Causes. Tiny Toones uses the elements of hip hop and breakdancing to empower the youth of Cambodia creating a safe environment for education, role models and opportunities.

Ninja Neishon approached this organization a few months ago when I randomly heard about them on a radio show broadcasting out of Jakarta, Indonesia. After a few conversations with Ryan I’ve come to understand just how powerful and substantial this program is for the youth.

When Ryan told me he was going to visit the center in January I asked him to take a few Ninja Neishon shirts for the kids.
Here are the photos he brought back:

Looking through the gifts Ryan brought back with him from stores and individuals who support Tiny Toones.

First moment.

Setting up the dance floor.

Ninja takes hold.

Nice.

The kids have access to a recording studio where they can create and put together their own music productions. If any readers out there have some equipment that they would like to donate email us at info@ninjaneishon.com and we’ll figure out a way to get it over there. Ryan told me that Manner, the person in this photo, has only 3 T-shirts including his new Ninja Neishon one. It made me really happy to see someone appreciate something so much and to know that even though we weren’t able to give much, the shirts we did donate ended up in deserving hands.

It’s photos like this that really help put things in perspective for all of us here at the Neishon. We started off with a desire to do things differently, to run a business in a personal and honest manner, and to help out where we can. We have much further to go before we can truly make a lasting impact, but it is organizations like Tiny Toones and people like Ryan that inspire us to pursue our path. One day we would like to be able to fly the entire Ninja Neishon team over to Cambodia in addition to bringing them new gear. That will come with more work and with the continued support from all of you.

We thank Ryan and Tiny Toones for adding some ‘Meaning to Purpose.’

-Travis NN

If you would like to donate directly to the Tiny Toones organization you can do so at www.tinytoones.org under the “Support” tab.

Yuka Miss Universe

What’s up Ninjas!

So we have an opportunity to help out a long-time Neishon supporter Yuka Eguchi. She is a finalist for the Miss Universe Japan contest and there is an online voting system up now. It could help her become the next Miss Universe Japan! Needless to say that’s pretty cool.

She has helped us out a lot especially on our first Neishon trip to Japan. It is a nice way to help support supporters of the Neishon, so if you have the 15 seconds it takes click this website link: http://beauty.yahoo.co.jp/special/muj/finalist/
and vote for her on the right hand side of the page within the yellow box that says ‘Yahoo BEAUTY.’ She is letter ‘E.’ Then just hit the button in that same box and you’re done.

Some of my favorite pictures of her during her Ninja training:

Whatever it’s hot in Japan.

Vote Yuka Eguchi for Miss Universe Japan!

Flannel is being embroidered as I write this, as are our new wristbands. Also decided to embroider a few trucker hats while I was at it so expect those products sometime later next week.

Peace Ninja!
