It’s always interesting to take a look at how global The Neishon’s reach has become. Much further to go, but it’s a bunch of Ninja steps in the right direction.

Here’s a little breakdown for you if you’re curious:
The United States has been bringing in the most visits thus far with Japan coming in a close second. And good job to The Netherlands for holding it down in third place! Greendland… you’ve got some work to do.
I colored in the winner for this round on the map. Looks like The Neishon has some work to do in many parts of Africa and the Middle East. We’re working on it!

Working off this, and wanting to bring you insight from Ninjas around the world, The Neishon website will soon be hosting multiple bloggers from all over! Yes, right here on this website you will get a collection of interviews, photos, opinions, random stuff, from Ninjas from Australia, Japan, The Netherlands, London, Argentina and of course right here in good ole’ California. More on that in the next few weeks. Get pumped.

Now you know where in this world the other readers of this site are chillaxin. Say hello to someone in the comments and make a friend.

Last 4 LA

This weekend the bboy crew Last For One made a visit to LA for an exhibition at Grand Performances. Seeing as how they were one of the reasons I started bboying after watching Planet Bboy a couple years ago, I decided they needed some Neishon apparel.
The thing with it is I had a hurt foot that night.

But that didn’t stop me and my homie Logan from making the trek to the Grand Performance arena.

It only took 25 minutes to walk a block and a half… but it was definitely worth it. The performance was awesome and afterwards my other friends and I ambushed the team’s managers. They were about to walk away as I hobbled after them; first one crutch fell away from me, but I stumbled and kept going as the security guards yelled at me. The managers were confused but super nice. I handed them The Neishon box and they promised to deliver it to the team. What’s up Last for One! All part of a standard Ninja Neishon day’s work.

Last for One has really made a name for themselves and after winning BOTY competition a couple years back they have scored commercial deals and performances around the world:

Golden nugget lines

Day one of ASR trade show in San Diego. Twice a year the Surf/Skate Lifestyle and Fashion industries invade San Diego to conduct business and preview lines for the upcoming seasons.

My plan was to walk around the entire show, mingling with people, getting some new products for the relaunch of the Neishon Online Shop, and to get you photos of sweet products like this:

18K Gold plated 9mm bullet earpieces. Ya, I know. Talk about your niche market, I talked with Daniel about the teknines. Awesome product. Might even try and get some similar models SITi G.
Found a beetle outside, thought this was a cool picture.

Anyway I met up with some Ninjas, got some Energy Almonds (seriously?) and that’s when trouble began.

Made it over to Crossroads thanks to the sweet sweet almonds that were the only things I had eaten all day. Cool vibe that was much different from inside ASR. It just felt like a festival for skaters in downtown SD.

That’s when the lines of Golden nugget almonds and beer took over… never made it back to ASR that day.

Gonna try it again today, but this time I’m gonna stay away from the free beer tents.

Sub Focus

While cruisin around Turntable Lab the other day, I found some sweet tunes courtesy of Sub Focus.

Sub Focus got his start after a friend passed his mixtape along to one of the World’s leading drum and bass Djs in the world Andy C. After a few attempts the dial the scribbled number on the mixtape, Andy finally reached Sub Focus and his presence in drum and bass was set. World tours, shows, and many collaborations later Sub Focus is just getting started.

One of his most popular songs “Rock it”, shown in the video below, reminds me a lot of Daft Punk but with a heavier baseline and driving beat. Definitely makes you want to get boogie.

Sub Focus is currently touring in Europe, so for all you Ninjas over there, get on it!

In other news ASR tradeshow is tomorrow. Basically that means it’s time to party. Expect updates throughout the weekend on the happenings at ASR. I’ll try and touch the twitter again just for kicks.

So coming up on September 5 is going to be a sweet dance party/club event called Tokyo Style. I’m helping to promote and am definitely going to be attending as well. A lot of Ninjas are on board already, and now’s your chance to get a ticket if you haven’t already.

You better be acquainted with this already, but if not, here it is Ninjas:

Ninja Warrior! Now you can be in it too!

Look, here’s the thing, if you’re a Ninja, and you’re in the LA area this weekend, you need to be here:

The Ninja Warrior open tryout!

G4tv is sending 10 Ninjas to the Land of Japan to compete for glory and honor. And this weekend is your chance to be a contender.

WHEN:

SATURDAY, AUGUST 7 and SUNDAY, AUGUST 8
(Tryouts take place between 7 AM and 6 PM, both days. Arrive early! Contestant spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis.)

WHERE:

In the lot behind Best Buy and Costco in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
(2861 Los Feliz Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90039)

In the spirit of Ninja Warrior, costumes are encouraged. (But what’s encouraged more is Neishon apparel. Seriously).

Now here are the rules:
You must be an American citizen or resident over the age of 21 to try out
Do not wear clothes with visible copyrighted logos, images or brands (Unless it’s Ninja Neishon cause I said it’s cool).
Bring a valid picture ID
Final rounds will take place Monday, Aug. 31 and Tuesday, Sept. 1 in Los Angeles
Final team of 10 will fly to Japan the second week of September 2009
